Treatment For Vertigo

If you don’t know what vertigo is, I’d say it’s safe to say you are fortunate not to suffer with this ailment. It’s a debilitating type of dizziness that many people get. It can be a chronic condition. It can happen only once, like it did to me, if you’re “lucky.”

There are several types of conditions that include vertigo. HERE is some information on some of the common types of vertigo on WebMD. I’ll be explaining more about my own personal experience with vertigo on THIS PAGE on vertigo, soon. For now, I want to share my experience with what felt like what might have turned into a repeat of a vertigo episode.

I had begun to feel a bit off, as if I was beginning to get dizzy for the past several days. It might have been from the extreme heat which affects not only hydration but also puts stress on your body’s hormones, such as your adrenal glands. This can create all sorts of imbalances in your body.

For example, the stress hormones being released from your adrenals can cause hypoglycemia or a problem stabilizing blood sugar levels. Stress hormones also cause inflammation in the body.

So, it wouldn’t surprise me that it’s possible that even though I’ve only had one full blown vertigo episode, it might be possible that temperatures ranging from 110 to 115 degrees could produce enough stress on the body to produce another episode of vertigo. This is merely speculation, but…

I did not want that to happen!

I tried some natural remedies before actually having a full blown episode of vertigo and I never had one again. My symptoms of dizziness subsided quickly. I will continue to find and use natural alternatives as much as possible during this crazy heat spell to reduce stress. I think that will continue to help.
